Present Tenses presente
Present Simple
S + V (-s para 3ª persona)
Uso: Rutinas, hechos generales, horarios, estados permanentes.
I work in an office. / She works from home.
Palabras clave: always, usually, often, sometimes, never, every day/week, on Mondays.
Present Continuous
S + am/is/are + V-ing
Uso: Acciones en progreso ahora, planes futuros, situaciones temporales.
I am reading a book right now. / We are meeting tomorrow.
Palabras clave: now, at the moment, today, this week, look!, listen!
Present Perfect
S + have/has + past participle
Uso: Experiencias, acciones pasadas con resultado presente, con for/since, noticias recientes.
I have visited London twice. / She has lost her keys.
Palabras clave: ever, never, already, yet, just, for, since, recently.
Present Perfect Continuous
S + have/has been + V-ing
Uso: Acción que empezó en el pasado y continúa, con énfasis en la duración.
I have been waiting for an hour.
Palabras clave: for, since, all day, how long.
Past Tenses pasado
Past Simple
S + V-ed (o irregular)
Uso: Acciones completadas en el pasado, secuencia de eventos.
I visited my grandmother yesterday.
Palabras clave: yesterday, last week/month/year, in 2010, ago, then.
Past Continuous
S + was/were + V-ing
Uso: Acción en progreso en el pasado, interrumpida por otra acción.
I was watching TV when the phone rang.
Palabras clave: when, while, at that time, as.
Past Perfect
S + had + past participle
Uso: Acción anterior a otra acción en el pasado.
I had finished dinner when she arrived.
Palabras clave: by the time, already, just, never, after, before.
Past Perfect Continuous
S + had been + V-ing
Uso: Duración de una acción antes de otra acción en el pasado.
I had been working all day before the meeting.
Palabras clave: for, since, all day, how long.
Future Tenses futuro
Will / Future Simple
S + will + V
Uso: Decisiones espontáneas, predicciones, promesas, ofrecimientos.
I will call you later. / It will probably rain.
Palabras clave: probably, definitely, maybe, I promise, I think.
Be going to
S + am/is/are + going to + V
Uso: Planes e intenciones, predicciones con evidencia.
We are going to visit Paris this summer.
Palabras clave: tomorrow, next week, this summer, look at the clouds!
Present Continuous (futuro)
S + am/is/are + V-ing
Uso: Acuerdos y arreglos fijos en el futuro cercano.
I am meeting my boss at 3 PM.
Palabras clave: tomorrow, next week, at (time), on (day).
Future Perfect
S + will have + past participle
Uso: Acción que estará completada en un momento futuro concreto.
By 2026, I will have graduated.
Palabras clave: by (time), by the time, before, in (time).
Future Continuous
S + will be + V-ing
Uso: Acción en progreso en un momento especÃfico del futuro.
This time tomorrow, I will be flying to London.
Palabras clave: this time tomorrow, at (time) tomorrow, in (time).
